Teacher Training Program application

Finished in August 2009

We were asked to design an interactive training program application online.

The app would involve 4 training tracks, real-time tests with inline answer suggestions, instant feedback on correct or wrong answers with embedded video instructions in between the test parts.

On the end of each 30 minute track would be an automatic certificate generation with name of the participant that would be immediately emailed to the participant.

Visions in Education is one of California’s largest public charter schools.

Our job was to redesign their website in cooperation with Haven falls motion picture – Sacramento, CA based video production company.

As a result, within the first 24 hours of the new website being live, the number of visitors who requested further contact from the website quadrupled.

In the early 2009 our team got an opportunity to design the online home for one of the largest non-profits in the Czech republic.

KAM is an organization with over 40 people staff and hundreds of volunteers every summer. They have the mission of bringing back the Christian values to currently one of the most atheistic nations of the world.

Licitor.sk

Licitor is a group of four high-school friends who went to America to work one summer after finishing college. When they came back, they pooled the money they had made and started a company. Five years later they are the second largest real estate developer in Žilina and much much more besides. Licitor relies on Elemental Media to create all the advertising for all the companies in their group. This includes websites (milestones.sk, martinkovpotok.sk, the-cube.sk, licitor.sk/davinci) brochures, billboards and e-mail campaigns.

Victory Promotion

Martin Zavadsky and his team decided to kick-start their business by organizing the largest student music event in Slovakia ever. They invited the most popular Slovak band Elan to play an arena in Bratislava and hoped their $130K investment would pay off. And it did. We had the privilege of creating a logo and a website for this remarkable young team.


Gallup’s Balkan monitor

Gallup Europe gave us a unique opportunity. We were invited to play a part in bringing the Balkans closer to the European Union. Gallup was launching what was to be the Western Balkans’ most wide-ranging survey ever, called Gallup Balkan Monitor and needed branding and a website. With two people on our team who grew up in Serbia, we could hardly resist taking this task on.

Great visions face great challenges. Josiah Venture has been changing the lives of young people in Eastern Europe for over a decade now. In the next three years this team of a couple of hundred Americans and Europeans wants to double their impact and plans to raise $10 million in order to do so. Our job was to create a face for their US 2×3 campaign tour. This included the creation of a visual concept, the design of PR materials and a website with RSVP e-mail campaign registration for the 11 tour nights.

Odista is a company in Novi Sad, Serbia, specializing in premier quality translation from Serbian to English. Our task was to create a logo and website to publicly launch Odista. The Expression Engine website is in both English and Serbian and the founder Mark Daniels has put a lot of work into its SEO optimization. Fourth place out of 600000 results for one of their key phrases, prevod na engleski (Feb 6, 2009) – that can’t be bad!

Marek Sobola is a highly skilled landscaping architect, with a great business mind at the same time. His company Martes Flora provides services to clients like Holiday Inn, but they didn’t have a visual identity and a website. Marek is a rare variety of businessman in Slovakia: he understands the power of the web and of a strong brand. It was amazing to work with him.

JV Elements is a resource website for young people in Central and Eastern Europe. It provides a curriculum for groups who want to study the basics of the Christian faith in a non-traditional (cool) way. For us in Elemental Media this included shooting and editing 18 short films all over the region that provided a face and a storyline to the lessons. It is an Expression Engine web site – a full online version of what was originally on a DVD. All of it was localized into 12 languages with a unique translation module for easy online work by translators with virtually no translation administration required.

Helena Švancárová, Slovak fashion designer has her studio and workshop in a historical manor-house near Žilina. Her company Heo Fashion Group has a large network of little boutiques that sell her products all over Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Russia. Kabaty.sk is the first website done in the new styling, and other websites and languages will follow.

We were given the opportunity to redefine the visual identity concept, bring it to all the PR materials and make it available to the whole team online. This included the creation of a simple-to-use online system where a team member can upload their photos and texts and get JV-branded personalized PR materials (postcards, newsletters, business cards) in just a couple of days. This site was built in Expression Engine.

We were excited about the idea and Stano and I called Matt and it just clicked. Matt is a trainer extraordinaire. He helps people to achieve their fitness goals and does it with style. And style was what he needed for his branding and website.

Ekointerier sells interiors and is very good at it. But while they are the no. 1 reseller of some of the best known interior brands in Slovakia, they would like to develop their own brand recognition. Our task was to create an online catalog that would establish the brand of Ekointerier. A website where products made by eight different providers would be gathered under the one Ekointerier brand. The site is powered by Expression Engine.

The Cube is proof of how a remarkable product and well-executed marketing bring success in business. The architect is being praised for designing an inexpensive, but fashionable-looking apartment building, the developer for being able to sell the building before they even started building it and Elemental Media for creating a campaign and website as a great tool for the developer to get investors interested.

Kompas, the Slovak training organization for youth workers, produced and mailed out a content-rich CD over three years. The material was popular, but the distribution method was expensive and not dynamic enough. They needed an online tool that would offer easy and searchable access to the resources, a dynamic way to publish new materials and a meeting-place for an online community of Slovak youth workers. Our job was to take a ton of CDs and go ahead and do it. And then to train the staff and promote the website at their annual national conference. The site is powered by Expression Engine CMS, contains hundreds of articles, photos, videos and audio files, and uses RSS for distribution.

New Beginning Christian Center

New Beginning is a community of Christians – a church startup in Žilina, Slovakia. It’s an active group of people who want to serve their community and see positive change. Their website is geared towards the general public. It provides general information, blogs, an events calendar, media download and podcasting, and everything is broadcast through RSS channels. The site was built with the Expression Engine CMS system and was our first EE site.
